Born in Illinois but raised in Texas, I returned to the land of my birth to begin college. After a couple of years, a broken neck and retiring from the glamour sport of competitive swimming my intense longing for breakfast tacos brought me back to Texas. Graduating with honors with a BFA in Communication Design from Texas State University in San Marcos, I began lugging my portfolio both near and far in search of gainful employment. I was fortunate to ultimately land under the tutelage of Rex Peteet at Sibley/Peteet Design in Austin, and thus began my professional design career.

After an amazing seven-plus year run working with and learning from some truly incredible — and incredibly talented — people I had the opportunity for greater responsibility as creative director at boutique Austin-based marketing & public relations firm Staats Falkenberg. From there I went on to be the digital art director at a true Texas institution, Texas Highways magazine, helping to share the wonders of the Lone Star State with the world.

My home life is shared with an amazing wife, an incredible daughter, and an ever-rotating cast of pets. I also do a fair bit of photography on the side whether it's live music, a wedding, a motorsport event, or simply bumming around on the weekend in my home in Northwest Montana.
